About Amol Pawar

Born in 1983 in Maharashtra, Amol Pawar is a contemporary Indian artist whose paintings explore mythology, spirituality and the rhythm of life through a distinctive blend of figurative and abstract forms. He completed his G.D. in Applied Art from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, and has developed a visual language that combines symbolism, texture and expressive colour. Drawing inspiration from the mythological tales he grew up hearing, traditional rangoli patterns and his experiences of both village and urban life, Amol creates contemporary paintings that are layered with emotion, meaning and personal reflection.

Amol Pawar’s Artistic Vision

Working primarily in mixed media, Amol Pawar experiments with texture, flowing lines, calligraphy and symbolic motifs to create compositions that feel both dynamic and meditative. His paintings often feature rhythmic figures, abstract layers and contrasting light and dark tones that add movement and depth. Rather than depicting mythology in a literal way, he reinterprets traditional themes through a contemporary artistic language, inviting viewers to engage with the work on multiple levels.

Nature, relationships and spirituality remain central to his artistic practice. Amol believes that life is fleeting and that one must dream beyond limits. Through his paintings, he seeks to evoke feelings of balance, transcendence and oneness with the world around us, transforming personal experiences into universal visual narratives.

Themes & Symbolism in Amol Pawar’s Paintings

Mythology, spirituality, nature and human relationships are recurring themes throughout Amol Pawar’s work. His paintings offer a contemporary interpretation of Indian mythology, making them especially meaningful for collectors interested in Religious Paintings.

The human figure often represents the artist himself, while the presence of Shakti symbolises the eternal balance between masculine and feminine energies.

Amol’s symbolic treatment of the human form also places his work within the tradition of contemporary Figurative Paintings, where emotion and storytelling take precedence over realism.
