Lalita Sonavane

Nature is the central theme for Lalita’s paintings. Using warm vibrant colours, the artist depicts forms and textures of rocks, soil, foliage, sky, clouds etc. At first her paintings may seem abstract, however upon closer viewing one can clearly see the different patterns of nature mountains, sky, water bodies etc.

Through nature-based abstraction, the artist leaves it on the viewer to derive their own meaning from her paintings. The light brush strokes combined with different layer-painting techniques show the meticulous mix of planning and elements used to make each artwork.
