Shiv Kumar Soni

Shiv Kumar Soni is a young contemporary artist from Rajasthan, India, whose work is deeply rooted in the nostalgia of childhood. Born and raised in Bidasar (Churu), he later moved to Jaipur to pursue his artistic journey and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the Rajasthan School of Art.

Soni’s paintings act as a poetic reflection of early memories—blending imagination, dreams, and personal experiences into vibrant visual narratives. His signature style is defined by bright, contrasting color palettes and a distinctive acrylic technique that mimics the fluidity of watercolor. Through this, he creates immersive spaces that reconnect viewers with the innocence and joy of their formative years.

A recurring element in his work is an imaginative character named “Puppy”—a boy with curly hair, sharp features, and vivid attire. Partly inspired by self-portraiture, this figure becomes a symbolic medium through which Soni explores identity, memory, and emotional connection.
