Rahul Dangat

Rahul Dangat is a visual artist, who earned his G.D Art Painting from Bharti Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, and BFA Painting from M.M.K College of Visual Art, Gulbarga. Rahul spent most of his childhood and adolescence on the farms. The rustic and earthy colors filled his life in the early years and now adorn his canvas. As an artist, he sees art in every visible element around him. When he paints, he tries to depict the commonest of the common objects in the most extraordinary form. This he does with the aid of his brush, the strokes of which create a web of color that is not complex but is rich with details. After all, detailed artwork is never short of brilliance. Lines are an important part of Rahul’s paintings which also create the signature texture and effect in his paintings. A combination of warm and cool hues along with the intersecting vertical and horizontal lines brings a balance to his painting. His paintings bring the mild fragrance of soil from the countryside and have the soothing effect of first rains on the mind. He started his career in the late 90s and over the years, he has earned awards and has exhibited his work in many solo and group shows.
