Ganpat N. Bhadke

Ganpat N. Bhadke lives and works in Thane, Maharashtra. He is interested in varied art forms such as oil and acrylic, watercolors, and digital media. The artist’s canvas is a space in itself but I feel that space or the universe can be represented as a microdot in which the universe is embedded or contained. Our thoughts, visions, and perceptions are small units like dots and are linked to one another to form a line or path. It basically resembles the journey of life to achieve a goal, which again, is a dot. The line has a personality of its own. The straight-line portrays stubbornness and curves represent flexibility. This line flows through various textures and colors and also represents different spiritual and material levels. I believe that humans are part of the universe, which is also contained within us. Our life’s journey has two more aspects: Desire and Fear. In fact, our life is caught between the triad of desire, fear, and selfish activity in which we are trapped. It is my experience that whatever happens with us happens for our progress. If we truly believe this, our life’s journey will become simpler and easier to live. These thoughts, experiences, and perceptions are reflected in the series “Evolving Phases”.
