Sachin Jaltare
Sachin Jaltare is a contemporary Indian artist whose mixed media paintings have an intrinsic sense of fluidity, freedom, and sensuality. While his softly hued subjects appear on the verge of blending into their surroundings, they never fully disappear. ‘Shiva’ and ‘Shakti’ form the basic core of art by Sachin. His recent paintings combine figurative and abstract elements fluidly to weave an engrossing narrative that is both authentically Indian and contemporary. Fragments and silhouettes of hauntingly beautiful men and women, representing Shiva and Parvati, are portrayed locked in a sensuous duet of lowered lids, trailing fingers, and passionate half-embraces. The sylph-like women and the medieval knight-like men with blazing red tikkas on their foreheads are pictured against moody, nocturnal landscapes in charcoal, grey, black, scarlet, and blue. The expressionist, acrylic canvasses are further flecked with esoteric symbols drawn from the natural world and Hindu mythology. The harmonious assimilation and distribution of colors and tints grant a soft gradation and apparent depth. His artworks exude a mystic charm, with the earthy and neutral avatar of the figures accentuating their ubiquitous appeal. Born in 1969, Sachin Jaltare is one of the most sought-after artists from Hyderabad, India. He has participated in over 30 group and solo exhibitions in a career spanning more than three decades.
